Western’s Rules Coordination Office oversees the University’s rule-making process, including the review, creation, amendment, and repeal of Western’s Washington Administrative Code rules (Title 516 WAC). In carrying out this function, the office works with the Atorney General’s Office, the President’s Office, and the Board of Trustees for final adoption. In addition, the office maintains the rule making docket, plans and facillitates public hearings, and produces the required legal notices for the press.
