Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1: A student can't afford gas to travel to their practicum site. Can we use our department funds to provide gas money to the student?
ANSWER: No. Paying any part of a students academic costs or fees with department Chart 1 funds would be considered gifting of public funds. There are many resources to assist students with expenses, so departments are to refer them to the Office of Student Life where a team will assess each students’ needs and refer back out to various resources as needed.
